National Rural Health Day

Ohio is joining other states in celebrating the first-ever National Rural Health Day on Thursday, November 17th.  National Rural Health Day was created as a way to showcase rural America, increase awareness of rural health-related issues and promote efforts by the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) and State Offices of Rural Health to address these issues.  Plans call for National Rural Health Day to become an annual celebration on the third Thursday of each November.  In addition to the national www.celebratepowerofrural.org website, an overview on Rural Health Day is available on the Ohio Department of Health website (click on “Rural Health” on the left)
