Jennifer Barga RN, BSN, Director of Nursing and Help Me Grow Project Director, graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Jennifer oversees the community health nursing division, is the Project Director for the Help Me Grow Program, completes maternal/infant home visits as a Service Coordinator, and assists the public health nursing staff in giving immunizations. Jennifer has been with the health department since 2004.
Dennis Wein, RN, BSN, MPH, earned his Masters in Public Health from Wright State University in 2008. He also has a Bachelors in Nursing from Wright State University (1995) and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Ohio Northern University (1979). He joined the Department of Health Nursing Staff in October of 2005 as a Public Health Nurse. His primary work roles include Emergency Response Coordinator, Epidemiologist, and Coordinator of the Darke County Medical Reserve Corps.
Kari Shuttleworth, RN, is a 2007 graduate of Sinclair Community College with an associate degree in nursing. Her primary responsibilities as a public health nurse include working as an immunization action plan nurse, working as a Help Me Grow service coordinator, and providing maternal/ infant home visits. She has been working with the Health Department since 2007.
Nicole Lefeld, RN, is a 2006 graduate of Rhoades State College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Her primary responsibilities as a public health nurse include Help Me Grow Service Coordinator, providing maternal/ infant home visits, and working as an immunization nurse. She also is responsible for the nursing division's lead awareness and prevention program. She has been employed with the Health Department since 2008.
Ann Glidewell, RN, PHN, graduated from Miami Valley Hospital in 1957. She was employed at Wayne Hospital from 1957 to 1965 and 1967 to 1974 as a Medical/ Surgical/ Pediatric nurse. She has been employed at the Darke County Health Department since October 1974. Her duties at the Health Department has included generalized public health nursing which included communicable disease investigation and reporting, Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps, and Immunization Clinic Staff Nurse. Currently, she works on a part-time basis at the Health Department in the immunization clinic.
Sue Rismiller, RN, is a graduate of Edison Community College with an Associate Degree in nursing. Since has been employed with the Health Department from 1987 to 1990, 1993 to 2003, and 2013 to the present. During these times, she was worked on a full-time and part-time bases. She is currently the Immunization Coordinator.
Beverley Born, RN, graduated from Edison Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing. Employed by the Darke County Health Department in 2006, she has worked as a service coordinator with Help Me Grow and also as an immunization nurse. Beverley's current responsibilities as a public health nurse is working with the Bureau of Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH) program.
Tim Ellis, RN, a 2013 graduate of Edison State Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. His primary responsibilities are as Accreditation Coordinator, Tuberculosis Nurse, and Infectious disease nurse.
Dr. Osterbur is the Medical Director at the Health Department. He has been employed with the Health Department since 1985.
Michelle Mader is the clerical specialist for the Nursing Division. She has been employed with the Health Department since 2010.
