Do I need two shots this year (H1N1 and Seasonal)?
The flu shot includes the Seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccines this year. If this is the first time a child 6 months through 8 years has received a seasonal or H1N1 shot, they will require two shots. If they only got one shot previously of the H1N1 or seasonal flu and are less than 9 they also will need two shots.
FLU INFORMATION: The best time to get the influenza vaccine is in October or November. The influenza season usually peaks in February, but it can peak any time from November through May. So getting the vaccine in December, or even later, can be beneficial in most years. Anyone can get influenza. For most people, it lasts only a few days. It can cause: fever, cough, sore throat, headache, chills, muscle aches, and fatigue.
